What is an Indirect Multiplier?

Indirect costs are the intangible expenses, such as medical bills, employee time off for recovery, vehicle down time, lost or delayed orders and time spent dealing with the accident aftermath. Experts predict that indirect costs can range from 5 to 20 times the direct costs. To be on the conservative side, a multiplier of 3 is used. If you know your indirect cost ratio, you can change it.

What are my self-insured costs?

The self insured costs of accidents include self insured retentions or other direct costs where you have no insurance coverage.
